Your day at Ubiwhere as an Infrastructure Engineer:
We are looking for a qualified Infrastructure Engineer to implement and maintain the core systems that support our applications and services. You will be responsible for creating scalable, secure and resilient infrastructures, ensuring high availability and performance in our environments. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Sizing, implementing and configuring infrastructure for projects, ensuring support for additional integrations in container-based systems;
- Enabling CI/CD pipelines to run smoothly, supporting development teams with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) tools:
- Monitoring the performance and availability of infrastructure and systems;
- Automating infrastructure provisioning, ensuring scalability, using appropriate tools;
- Ensuring system security through appropriate reinforcements, access controls and audits;
- Administering and optimising networks, DNS, VPNs, firewalls and load-balancers;
- Implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies;
- Managing both legacy systems and implementing solutions for internal use.
Your profile:
- Degree in Technology/Computer Science or equivalent experience;
- Experience as an infrastructure engineer, DevOps, SRE or similar role:
- Experience with Linux systems;
- Knowledge of scripting at operating system level (Bash and/or Python);
- Knowledge of networks (equipment, protocols, troubleshooting tools);
- Familiarity with Docker;
- Proactive attitude to problem-solving;
- Strong team spirit and collaboration.
Bonus points:
- Knowledge of at least one of the main cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, DigitalOcean);
- Familiarity with Kubernetes;
- Familiarity with hybrid or on-prem virtualisation platforms (e.g. Proxmox, oVirt, VMware);
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows (e.g. GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Jenkins);
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix);
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or other automation tools.
