Your day at Ubiwhere as a R&I Tech Lead:

  • Identify funding opportunities in EU programmes and align them with Ubiwhere’s global strategy and product Roadmap;
  • Lead and manage the proposal writing processes for EU funding opportunities;
  • Define use cases that match the funding opportunities and are aligned with the company’s strategy and the products’ Roadmap;
  • Establish new partnerships and strengthen existing ones with external R&D stakeholders through partner networks, events, and ongoing R&D projects;
  • Actively contribute to daily project activities, documentation, and reporting;
  • Support project operations and business development activities related to R&D proposals;
  • Specify technical requirements and design solutions;
  • Plan and supervise internships.

 

Who you are:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering or related field;
  • Experience collaborating on the product and engineering teams’ Roadmap;
  • Proven track record of contributions to open-source projects;
  • Ability to design complex system architectures with reusable components;
  • Advanced technical knowledge of 5G software architectures;
  • Advanced technical knowledge of embedded tools (e.g. Yocto), IoT and API integration, edge and cloud computing concepts (e.g. federated learning, cloud-to-edge);
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, and meet deadlines;
  • Availability to travel;
  • Willingness to learn, adaptability, and proactivity;
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, exercising sound judgement in all work-related matters, and handle sensitive issues effectively.

 

Bonus points:

  • A natural curiosity for exploring new technologies;
  • Experience in building/ buying/ borrowing technology;
  • Technical writing skills and ability to discuss ideas in collaborative environments:
  • Experience collaborating on proposal writing for EU funding opportunities;
  • Experience in public speaking and writing.
