Autonomous Mobility and Connectivity in the spotlight at Aveiro Tech Week 2025: Ubiwhere shares advances in Agenda Route 25, DNS Testbed, Imagine-B5G and MLSysOps project
Between the 6th and the 12th of October, Aveiro celebrates technology and culture in a week that aims to reinforce the city’s position as the epicentre of the technological route and as a hub for technological and creative industries. For the second consecutive year, on the 7th of October, Ubiwhere will participate in this initiative with the presentation of the results from the Imagine-B5G, MLSysOps, DNS Testbed and Route 25 projects.
The city of Aveiro is investing in a week of various activities and events dedicated to technology, art, and culture. Organised by the Aveiro City Council, Aveiro Tech Week will consist of the TECHDAYS Aveiro and PRISMA / Art Light Tech events. Over the course of seven days, this event will feature exhibitions, artistic and technological installations, performances, conferences, hackathons, a gaming area, and other engaging experiences.
On the 7th of October, between 4 pm and 5 pm, Ubiwhere, as a partner in the Route 25 project, will participate in the workshop ‘The evolution of Autonomous Mobility in Portugal: results of the Route 25 Agenda’, which will take place at Aveiro Tech City HUB - Atlas Aveiro Building. Ubiwhere will be responsible for presenting the results achieved in key areas for the future of mobility, namely Operations Centre CCAM, Multimodal Data-Aware Sensing Platform, Smart Parking, and Edge Offloading. These solutions reflect Ubiwhere’s active role in the Route 25 project - Agenda for Autonomous, Intelligent, Interoperable and Inclusive Mobility, a pioneering initiative, funded by the PRR, which is revolutionising mobility in Portugal, driving innovation and sustainability in the sector, in line with the European CCAM (Cooperative, connected and automated mobility) Strategy.
Also on the 7th of October, at Praça da República, between 2 pm and 5 pm, Ubiwhere will bring to life three demonstrations of three of its projects: "MLSysOps in action: Smarter, safer and more connected cities," an interactive session where visitors will be able to explore urban data in real time, observe how AI models are trained and validated, view real-time metrics of the urban environment, and understand the role of technologies such as the cloud-edge continuum in creating scalable and efficient solutions; ‘N-TourXP-5G: Immersive Tourist Experiences with 5G’ as part of the Imagine-B5G project, where it will be possible to demonstrate the potential of 5G to transform the visitor experience in European destinations; and ‘DNS Testbed - From vision to reality’ with the presentation of success stories of Ubiwhere’s digital solution.
This participation in Aveiro Tech Week 2025 highlights Ubiwhere’s role as a driver of technological innovation in Portugal, contributing to digital transformation and the construction of smarter, safer and more sustainable cities and territories through demonstrations of the Route 25, Imagine-B5G, DNS Testbed and MLSysOps projects, with concrete results associated with the advancement of autonomous mobility and intelligent management of urban systems.
