From experimentation to validation: Ubiwhere attended the final event of the Imagine-B5G Portuguese Facility
As a member of the project’s consortium, Ubiwhere attended the final event of the Imagine-B5G Portuguese Facility, held on the 26th of March at the Instituto de Telecomunicações in Aveiro. This event marked the conclusion of an important cycle of research and validation of Beyond 5G (B5G) technologies.
The event brought together a wide range of stakeholders from the technological and scientific ecosystem, including companies, research centres and institutional partners, in a session dedicated to presenting the main results achieved throughout the project. During the event, several initiatives developed under the Open Calls were showcased, highlighting the impact and maturity of the solutions created.
The projects presented were divided into Vertical Experiments, focused on validating concrete use cases in operational environments, and Platform Extensions, aimed at evolving and strengthening the capabilities of the experimentation infrastructure. Collectively, these projects delivered measurable technical results, validated innovative solutions and explored real-world applications in areas such as connected healthcare, smart mobility, public safety and AI-based network management.
Integrated into the European Smart Networks and Services (SNS) programme, the Imagine-B5G project made a significant contribution to the large-scale testing and validation of innovative solutions, reinforcing the European B5G experimentation ecosystem.
Ubiwhere’s participation in this final event further strengthened its active role within the Portuguese Facility, as well as its ongoing commitment to innovation and to the development of technological solutions that enable smarter and more connected cities and territories.
