FUTUREGION SUMMERCAMP: Here is the programme for a week full of innovation and digital transformation organised by Ubiwhere and the University of Aveiro

From the 7th to the 11th of July, FUTUREGION SUMMERCAMP will take place at the University of Aveiro, organised by Ubiwhere. A training initiative that combines technical knowledge and practical application, oriented towards the current challenges of intelligent urban management. Discover more about the programme, which has been specifically designed to provide participants with practical experience and disseminate knowledge on managing smart cities and territories.

For five days, the University of Aveiro will host a diverse and interdisciplinary community that will come together to share knowledge, explore technological solutions and debate innovative practices with direct application in the public and business sectors.

With a carefully designed agenda and excellent speakers, FUTUREGION SUMMERCAMP by Ubiwhere includes a programme of intensive practical sessions focused on exploring and using the Urban Management Platform, technical masterclasses led by experts in the fields of territorial innovation and digital transformation, sharing of experiences and networking between professionals from the public, academic and business sectors and discussion of real use cases with direct application in municipal contexts. Among the speakers, this initiative will feature renowned experts in the field of smart cities, technology and territorial management, such as Miguel Castro e Neto (NOVA-IMS), Paula Teles (MPT), Anabela Ribeiro (University of Coimbra), Nuno Cunha (Associação Quadrilátero Urbano), Mário Coelho (CCG/ZGDV Institute), Lydia Montandon (FIWARE), José Carlos Mota (University of Aveiro), Isabel Borges and Luís Miguel Silva (CONNECT5), Marco Lima Carvalho and Carla Pires (GAIURB), Carlos Resende, Filipe Sousa and José Costa (Fraunhofer Portugal AICOS), Mário Almeida (Wavecom), Telmo Fernandes (Digiwest), Ricardo Machado and Pedro Teixeira (Guimarães City Council), Luís Lopes (Leiria City Council), André Duarte and Ricardo Machado (Ubiwhere).

This summer school will provide a concrete opportunity for municipal teams working in urban areas, students, SMEs, and start-ups to acquire operational skills through direct contact with tools that support decision-making in areas such as mobility, the environment, planning, and management of urban services.
