Heading towards the future of innovative mobility: Ubiwhere takes part in the IN2CCAM Awareness Event
On the 28th of January, Guimarães will host the event promoted by the IN2CCAM project consortium. The initiative will bring together experts and projects aligned with Horizon Europe at the Plataforma das Artes e da Criatividade. It aims to address connected, cooperative, and automated mobility, which is essential for the future of passenger and freight transport. Ubiwhere will be one of the organisations participating in the event, which several European cities will attend to measure and value mobility measures in city environments.
The IN2CCAM project advances and accelerates connected, cooperative, and automated mobility (CCAM) technologies and services for seamless traffic management across Europe. It also aims to make roads safer, more sustainable, and more inclusive.
The event’s programme includes presentations on the impact of CCAM technologies, highlighting the simulations carried out on Guimarães’ digital twin, a central tool in urban decision-making. It also discusses the dissemination of Connected, Cooperative, and Automated Mobility (CCAM), a technology capable of predicting traffic and analysing effective solutions to improve everyday traffic. Ubiwhere will be represented by Carolina Viceto, Project Manager, and Sandra Barnabé, Innovation Manager, who will be part of the speakers discussing practical cases and strategies for smart territories.
Organised by Quadrilátero Urbano in partnership with Ubiwhere, this event focuses on the project consortium’s work. The consortium comprises four leading cities and two experimentation territories that use technology to empower them with data to improve their mobility. The cities are Tampere (Finland), Trikala (Greece), Turin (Italy), Vigo (Spain), Bari (Italy), and Guimarães, Braga, Famalicão, and Barcelos (Quadrilátero Urbano).
