Portugal Smart Cities Summit 2024: Ubiwhere will attend the 10th edition of the event with a demonstration of digital solutions for smart cities

Ubiwhere will be at the Portugal Smart Cities Summit 2024 to present the Urban Platform, promote the Digital Nervous System Testbed and disseminate research and development projects related to mobility, such as the Route 25 project:

- Ubiwhere’s Urban Platform is a digital solution that presents a unified vision of the city by integrating data from different domains and the interoperability of information systems. As a political decision support tool that adapts to the reality of each city, the Urban Platform acts as a technological framework that aims to create smart territories through the digital transition;

- The Digital Nervous System Testbed by Ubiwhere is a campus for startups and SMEs to develop and test innovative ideas for technological products and services. Considered a revolutionary solution from Ubiwhere that offers services using cutting-edge technologies such as continuous computing, 5G, IoT-edge-to-cloud and zero-touch automation technologies, the DNS Testbed acts as an excellent tool that supports the digital transition of companies in Portugal;

- Route 25 is an Agenda for Autonomous, Intelligent, Interoperable and Inclusive Mobility project that aims to put Portuguese industry at the top of the mobility value chain and seeks to shape the future of mobility by providing the communication and detection infrastructure needed to enable autonomous driving to be deployed in different types of cities.

FIL will again be the meeting point for all the critical sectors of smart cities: governance, mobility, energy, IT & IOT, cyber security, water, waste and the environment, health and well-being. The Portugal Smart Cities Summit is an event that defines itself as a place of convergence and the physical marketplace for creating opportunities for national and international markets. These opportunities are linked to research and education and provide for the creation of businesses in the most diverse sectors to generate reflection on the future of the organisation of cities in the world.

At last year’s Portugal Smart Cities Summit - António Almeida Henriques Awards Ceremony, the project to implement the Ubiwhere’s Urban Platform in the Municipality of Guimarães was recognised as the best project in the ‘Digital Transition’ category. The awards highlighted innovative proposals and smart practices in national Intermunicipal Communities, Municipalities and Parish Councils. The 2024 edition of the Portugal Smart Cities Summit will award new projects between the 8th and the 10th of October at FIL in Lisbon.
