Towards innovation: Ubiwhere ensures migration to ISO 56001

Ubiwhere

Ubiwhere was at the training session ‘What to do to ensure migration to ISO 56001’, which took place on the 7th of March at the headquarters of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE) in Porto. This initiative focused on boosting innovation in Portuguese companies and encouraging them to update to the new ISO 56001.

Last September, the new ISO 56001:2024 standard was published, which cancels and replaces the current reference standard for the R&D&I Management System NP 4457:2021. The adoption of this new standard will bring additional advantages to certified companies such as Ubiwhere.

This session was led by Geraldo Malvido from AENOR’s R&D Unit and aimed to provide information on the certification of AENOR’s Innovation Management System following ISO 56001:2024. This certification will help manage innovation within a company more effectively: in the case of Ubiwhere, this certification will bring significant value in terms of competitiveness, efficiency and sustainability.

The advantages of migrating to ISO 56001:2024 make it possible to maintain the certification cycle and the age of the certificate. In the case of Ubiwhere, this migration also guarantees a smooth and effective transition, aligning our innovation management system with the latest international standards.

In today’s business world, where change is constant, the ability to innovate is crucial for companies to survive and grow. ISO 56001 is important because it equips organisations with a structure that is geared towards managing innovation systematically, reducing uncertainty and increasing the likelihood of obtaining significant benefits from new products, services, processes and models. By promoting a culture that supports innovation, companies like Ubiwhere can improve their performance, resilience and competitiveness in the market.
