Ubiwhere hosted the General Assembly of the EDGELESS Project at the University of Aveiro

Ubiwhere

On the 9th and 10th of July, Ubiwhere organised the General Assembly of the EDGELESS project at the University of Aveiro. The meeting brought together representatives from all the organisations that are part of the consortium for this research and technological development project. The EDGELESS project aims to leverage the serverless concept at all layers of the edge-cloud continuum to fully benefit from diversified and decentralised computing resources available on demand, close to where the data is produced or consumed.

The General Assembly of the EDGELESS project brought together all the project partners to assess the progress made to date, align the following steps and promote collaboration between the Work Packages. Over the two days, participants were involved in technical discussions, strategic planning sessions and networking activities aimed at accelerating the project’s objectives.

During the two days of meetings, topics such as project status updates, risk reviews, KPI definition, and presentation sessions, as well as demonstrations on the status of the Work Packages, were covered. In addition, General Assembly participants attended sessions on cloud integration, metrics for analysing values related to project communication and dissemination, and sustainability and community management.

By hosting this meeting and being part of the project consortium, Ubiwhere reaffirmed its active role in promoting technological innovation and strengthening collaborative networks dedicated to cutting-edge computing. The choice of the University of Aveiro to host the event also highlighted the city’s increasingly important position as a centre of knowledge and a benchmark on the national technological scene.
