Ubiwhere took part in the O-CEI project General Assembly in Bilbau

Ubiwhere

Ubiwhere participated in the General Assembly of the O-CEI project – Open CloudEdgeIoT Platform Uptake in Large-Scale Cross-Domain Pilots – held on the 20th and the 21st of January in Bilbao. The meeting brought together the consortium partners to present the current status of the project, align priorities, and prepare for the next phases of development, testing, and demonstration.

Funded by the Horizon Europe programme, the O-CEI project brings together 60 European partners and aims to develop an open Cloud-Edge-IoT platform, with a strong focus on interoperability, security and reliability. The project promotes cross-domain data sharing, reduced energy consumption, and the implementation of large-scale pilot projects to deliver faster, more accurate energy flexibility forecasts, contributing to Europe’s energy transition.

Over the two days of the meeting in Bilbao, partners aligned on the current progress of the project, upcoming milestones and the preparation of future tests, review and demonstrations. Technical and operational aspects related to the platform architecture, ongoing pilots, and preparation for the next project demo were also discussed.

The programme also included a field visit to Pilot 6, at a kiwi plantation where the solution is being deployed, allowing participants to observe the practical implementation of the developed technologies in a real-world setting.

Ubiwhere was represented at this General Assembly by Carolina Viceto, Project Manager, and João Viegas, Software Developer. Ubiwhere’s participation in the O-CEI project consortium reinforces its active involvement in European research and innovation projects, contributing to the development of open and interoperable Cloud-Edge-IoT solutions aligned with the challenges of energy efficiency and sustainability.
