O-CEI

The O-CEI project - Open CloudEdgeIoT Platform Uptake in Large-Scale Cross-Domain Pilots - aims to establish an open Cloud-Edge-IoT (CEI) platform with a strong emphasis on interoperability, security and reliability. This project will develop cutting-edge technologies and implement large-scale pilot projects to provide faster and more accurate forecasts of energy flexibility.

The project will promote cross-domain data sharing, advance open standards for virtualisation and interoperability, and support multilateral markets. This project’s capabilities will help industries adapt to dynamic energy demand, promoting Europe’s transition to a more sustainable, efficient, and resilient digital infrastructure.

O-CEI will create a more sustainable and resilient Cloud-Edge-IoT (CEI) ecosystem, fostering a smoother transition towards a cleaner energy future. This will be achieved by facilitating cross-domain data sharing, reducing energy consumption, promoting multi-sided marketplaces, and advancing open standards for virtualisation and interoperability. O-CEI aims to empower key industries to optimise resource usage, reduce environmental impact, and drive Europe’s transition to a greener, more efficient energy landscape. O-CEI’s mission is to drive the rapid adoption and scaling of cutting-edge solutions for energy optimisation, enhancing Europe’s competitiveness and enabling strategic autonomy.
